Who we are
Imperia (imperia42.com) is a free online strategy game operated by Ivan Vasilev, Bulgaria — the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: hello@imperia42.com.
What we collect, and why
- Your Google account basics — name, email address, and profile picture, received when you sign in with Google. Used to create your account, show your name and avatar in-game, and email you. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you (providing the game).
- Gameplay data — your empires, orders, battles, and season results. This is the game itself. Your ruler name and results are visible to other players in your world and may appear in season recaps.
- Season emails — when a world you played ends, we email you a recap. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe, and you can opt out permanently. Sent via Resend from EU infrastructure.
- Push notifications — only if you explicitly enable them in your browser; you can revoke them there at any time.
- First-party analytics — anonymous, cookieless counts of visits, sign-ups, and early gameplay steps (including which link brought you here). No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics, no fingerprinting. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding whether the game works.
What we don't do
We don't sell or share your data for advertising, run third-party trackers, or collect anything beyond what's listed above.
Where your data lives
Our processors: Supabase (database & authentication), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email, EU region), and Google (sign-in). Each processes data on our behalf under their own GDPR commitments.
Retention & your rights
Your account and gameplay history are kept while your account exists. Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time — email hello@imperia42.com and we'll handle it within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Children
Imperia is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher age your country requires for consent). If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll note it here with a new date. Continued play after a change means you accept it.
